Pricing
Let’s talk about what you’re probably most interested in – how much will your website cost? This is tough to answer until we fully understand the scope of the project. As an example, think about buying a car. You first have to decide what type of car you want, then the make, model, etc. After you finally pick which car you want, you now have to decide the color you want. And after that you have to decide what options you want. The price of your car can change substantially from the first step through to the last. Websites work the same way, we have to understand exactly what you want (make/model) and the needed functionality (options) before we can give an accurate estimate.
We get it…even after all that you still want an idea of what the website will cost. To help out, we have 3 starting points for a new website:
Starter (smaller sites) – Starting at $3,500
This is our most economical offering, and generally covers average or smaller brochure/information-based websites (from 1-5 pages) that include basic plugins, a contact form, an e-mail opt-in form, but don’t have too much complex functionality.
*Note – this does not include e-commerce websites.
Standard (medium sites) – Starting at $5,500
This range includes portfolio or more extensive customer-engaging sites that are generally 6-20 pages, with some advanced functionality like a blog, project galleries, calendars, events, extensive quote forms, etc.

Premier / E-Commerce (larger sites or e-commerce) – Starting at $8,500
This range includes larger sites (generally 20+ pages) that require more extensive design and development, template creation, e-commerce/online stores, e-learning, memberships, or other advanced functionality.

Do you really want to spend several hours a month updating and optimizing your site to keep from getting hacked? Of course you don’t! That’s what we are here for. You want to spend time running your business. Let us take care of the website.
We created our website security & maintenance plan to protect our client’s sites from getting hacked. While we succeeded in that (and still to this day have a 100% success rate of no hacks once on the plan) we found out there was another need for our clients once a site went live…maintenance and optimization.
Once a website is live, it’s not only important to protect it from malware and hackers that can take your site down and destroy your Google rankings but it’s also important to keep the tools in the site updated and to make sure the site as a whole is running quickly and efficiently.
Our Website Care Plans includes all that and more. Essentially, we’re on your side making sure that month to month your site is protected, updated, maintained, backed up and kicking butt online.

Website Design
Where does the content come from?
Your website content comes from you!
This is one of the most important steps in the process and it's the only one that is out of our hands. It’s important to take the time necessary to prepare your content.
Collecting and organizing the content for your new site is the single largest task involved with your project, but we’re here to help. We will provide a checklist to assist you in putting together all the content (text, images, services, etc.) to make sure that we have everything we need to deliver a site that exceeds your expectations.
Can Square Munky create the content?
Yes we can, but this is not part of the regular website design process. We can provide content creation for an additional cost.
How much does a website cost?
That’s hard to answer without knowing more about the project. Is it e-commerce? Do you have a back catalog of 300 blog posts? Do you need something very unique? All of that plays into the cost of developing a website. Let us know what your vision is and we will get you an estimate.
Note - the pricing options listed are starting points, the cost can go up depending on the functionality requested.
How long does it take to create a website?
How do you handle payments?
Most projects are handled with 2 installments:
- 50% upfront
- 50% payment is due prior to launching the site
Payment can be made with Credit Card, Zelle, PayPal or Venmo.

Website Care Plan
Why is there a monthly cost?
Each website on our Website Care Plan includes premium hosting, security scans, monthly maintenance, site backups, an SSL Certificate & allotted time each month for updates (varies based on the plan selected).
What happens if I pass on your plan?
While we highly recommend our Website Care Plan, it is by no means required. Â
However, if you decide to decline our maintenance plan there’s a lot that can go wrong.
Here are the top reasons we recommend your site be hosted and managed by an experienced team:
- The site will not be optimized which leads to poor performance, slow loading times and a gradual loss of Google SEO rankings.
- The site’s tools, plugins, themes and WordPress itself will quickly go out of date which is the #1 leading cause of website hacks. It’s incredibly important to keep ALL your website tools and plugins up-to-date.
- You’ll have no backups or restore points so if the site gets hacked or breached, you could lose all your content, pages and Google ranking.
- Most importantly, you won’t have us as your trusted webmaster to assist you with quick updates, tweaks, website issues, etc. Often you’ll have to try getting a hold of your hosting company for any assistance.
Can I join the plan if I originally pass?
Of course. There is no additional cost if we built the site and you sign up within 3 months from the date the site launched. If it has been more than 3 months then there is a $500 set-up fee.
What happens if I don't enroll in the plan and my site gets hacked or infected?
In the unfortunate case this happens, let us know and we can fix it.
We’ll clean and restore the site for an initial cleanup fee of $500, though this could be more if the site has to be recreated from an old backup.
Once the site is clean and back to normal we would HIGHLY recommend that you enroll in our Website Care Plan immediately to make sure it remains clean and protected from malware and hackers.
What if my site gets hacked or compromised while I'm on the plan?
We will take care of it immediately and of course there would be no cost to you.
While we can't guarantee a site will never get hacked, if a site is properly maintained it is highly unlikely. To date, we have never been hacked while maintaining a site.
Does my monthly update time roll over?
No, the monthly update time does not roll over.
Any time spent over the allotted time in a given month would be charged at the rates listed above.
What happens if I need more than the allotted support hours?
If your updates will require more time than the included support hours, no problem. The hourly rate is shown for each plan above or you are able to a package of monthly hours here.
Will you host & maintain a site if you did not build it?
This would be decided on a case-by-case basis.
We may host the site, but there could be additional costs for updates & maintenance if your site uses themes and plugins that we have not used as the time spent making the updates takes significantly longer than it would using our tech stack.
Do you offer a discount for multiple sites?
Absolutely! If you choose to have us host and maintain additional sites under your account, you’ll get a 20% discount (monthly or annual) for every site you add which will be active for as long as we host and maintain the sites.
Are there any cancellation fees?
There are no cancellation fees. If you decide to change hosting all you have to do is let us know. Once any outstanding invoices are paid you will be provided with the WordPress Admin login which allows for easy migration to any host of your choice.
